Below you can find descriptions of some of our activities. Please note that our activities are mainly in Finnish. For you who want to practise and learn Finnish language we offer free Finnish Discussion Groups.

Multicultural Sunday evenings
Welcome, wether alone or with your family, to the multicultural Sunday afternoons at Jokela Kotikirkko, Keskustie 2.

Sunday
7.5 klo 16-18 / at 16
Both immigrants and those who would like to make friends with people coming from abroad are welcome!
We gather together once a month, and discuss topics chosen by the participants. Our aim is to get to know each others and our cultures and also to get to know Tuusula and the Finnish way of life.
There are interpreters of Arabic and Swahili with us. We offer free tee, coffee and juice.

Early childhood education and family activities
We offer activities for both children and adults together and separately.
We want to protect childhood and support parenting and Christian education. We're here for you and your family.
Family Clubs
The family club welcomes adults with their children to come and enjoy time with other families.
Being together and sharing life's questions with other adults brings the oasis to the middle of everyday life. There is a breakfast at the start of the club. Activities are free of charge and do not require registration.
We meet once a week. A more detailed program for clubs will be published weekly on family clubs' Facebook.

Family clubs on Facebook
You are more than welcome to start a conversation or share information with other family club members on the Facebook group. For every family club you can find your own group on Facebook: Tuusula seurakunta – Lapset ja perheet.
First baby group
The first baby group is intended to families with their first child.

Café Vauvala (Café for baby families)
The baby families' own living room, where parents can chat over a cup of coffee. We meet on Thursdays from 2:30 p.m to 4.30 p.m at the Parish Centre. Rykmentintie 34, 04300 Tuusula
Pop up Café
The pop up cafés are meeting places in different parks of Tuusula. You can find more information on the website and on Facebook during the summer. The program includes joint activities and nice time together with snacks.
Open family music playschool (Muskari)
The Family music playschool is open to all and free of charge. We sing and play together.
After the music session, the children can continue playing in the café.

Living room for one parent families
Single parents, co-parents and widows are welcome to this livingroom. Adults have the possibility of a joint debate about everyday matters. For children we offer childcare.

Plural meetings
Welcome to the joint evenings of plural families at the Parish Centre. We will have nice time together with evening snacks. More information: Salla Talvitie, tel. 040 636 0424.
Day club
Our day clubs are meant for children aged 2-6 years. The children play together, take part in different activities and learn about Christian values. The day club is a palce to grow, learn new skills and build new friendships. Our goals are to support the child’s holistic growth and developement.

After-school activities for school children - iippa

Sunday school
Sunday school is a church for children.
Events and family camps
Events for children and families and familycamps offer nice activities and experiences for children and adults. More information on the website.
Family churches and fairs
Family churches welcome all children, parents, grandparents, godparents, friends and anyone who wants to look at life and the church year from a child’s perspective. It’s allowed for the child to be heard and seen in the church.
Children's choirs and youth vocal groups
The choirs provide joy and brisk going for children and young people.
